Want to help out? Whether or not you are living at Contact Camp, the biggest thing that you can do to help is show up and play in jams and classes. Especially if you have some experience, just showing up and helping create an inviting atmosphere for people to figure out what it is we are doing would be delightful, as well as to come and inspire us with your enthusiasm to dance. We could also, of course use material help. For a big list of things that we need or for where to donate any money you felt like contributing to make the structures happen (we are building multiple domes), goto Wish list We will be doing some work parties in the months leading up to Burning Man. Get in touch with us and let us know where you are and we can see about putting you to work or give you some assignment that you might be able to pull off on your own. We will also be doing some organizational meetings, where will be farming out tasks and brainstorming. We will definitely need help with loading (August 24) and unloading (September 4) things for camp from storage. Work Parties...We will be scheduling these as we get closer. Tentatively, I imagine we will likely have a weekend in June (June 8-10) out in Nevada City... combine working with swimming and dance breaks out on the Yuba River! At this work party, we will do an inventory of what we have, organize some repairs, and figure out what else we need. Likely, we will also be doing some sporadic work August 6-23 in either SF or Nevada City, before Burning Man.. Last year, with the fabulous help of Sam Burnier as facilities guy, we managed to create three 60-foot diamater parachuite tents. with this out of the way, this year, we will focus on the task of making camp itself a really fabulous place with making a better kitchen set-up and a really nice shower facility (inspired by the one over at Diva Boot Camp). If you would like to help with design, let us know! I imagine we will also make a more together bike parking system.
