CAMP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staying at camp carries a bit of responsibility to making this beautiful thing happen

Before Burning Man

  1. Register through burningcontact@gmail.com, so we are sure that camp is a good fit and that you understand (as much as any of us do) what camp is going to be like
  2. Pay your camp contribution (covering organization, infrastructure, transport of stuff, and food)
  3. If possible, come help out at one of the work parties in the summer, Load-in and/or Load out.

At Burning Man

  1. commit to be there for either set up (be there Saturday the 25th) or take down (stay through Monday evening the 3rd)... both would be great!
  2. Be at the center camp morning jam at least once during the week to help hold space and get things rolling.
  3. Be a responsible human living in a cooperative space (do your dishes plus a little of other’s dishes, be respectful, etc)
  4. 3 hours of workshift (this could be signing up for one night of dinner cook crew, dinner clean crew, morning/evening space cleaning, etc)

Beyond this, you are encouraged to be a part of whatever draws you in and to initiate things you might like to see… jams, labs, etc.  We will be having a few meetings during the week which are strongly encouraged, but not essential…as much about personal check in as about collaborating on making things happen.

Bring whatever you feel inspired to to make our space more beautiful, comfortable, delightful.

The general vibe of camp will be quiet-ish… a kind of oasis in the sonic wilds of burning man.

We are trying to keep a commitment to keep a clean camp and leave no trace (LNT).  Last year, we were a stellar camp in terms of leaving behind no Moop (Matter Out Of Place). To read about keeping this a manageable collective task at Burning Man, goto CLEAN
