Wow, things changed very fast!
Everything is shut down now in the CI world… workshops, festivals, jams. Many people who participate in CI events have been living relatively precariously and are likely to be hit hard financially by the situation.
I feel lucky about my own situation.
In case some of the less optimistic scenarios unfold economically, my plan is that once we are able to start having contact improvisation gatherings again, I will hold a series of contact improvisation workshops on a “by donation” basis. That way, we’ll all able to keep practicing together without worry about whether we can afford it.
I’ll post here as things shift and I am able to start naming concrete dates in Europe and (hopefully) North America. Of course, if you are not on my mailing list and you would like to get a message about it, send an e-mail to info@bodyresearch.org with your name and where you live or where you could come to workshops.
I hope you all are able to stay healthy, that you are able to use this strange time out of time well for yourself, and that your path out of this strange time is as easeful as it can be.
