Leipzig Contact Improvisation

Karl Frost and Body Research are based out of Leipzig, Germany and are committed to the development of a convivial and welcoming local Leipzig scene for the practice and study of contact improvisation. Body Research produces ongoing weekly trainings, weekend workshops with Karl Frost and with guest teachers, and larger jam and festival gatherings, and has in the works performance projects based in and/or showcasing contact improvisation.

The current corona situation makes things unpredictable, as we all know at this point, but Body Research is committed to staying responsibly within current Sachsen guidelines for contact sports and partner dance activities.  For this reason, the framework of classes or other events may shift with changing virus incidence levels, and, of course, in-person events may be suspended at some point, should things get significantly worse.  For anyone wanting to participate in Body Reserach events, please do read and commit to the protocols specific to the event.

Currently, Body Research is offering in Leipzig weekly closed group trainings on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. If you would like to join, visit the webpage and write to inquire if there is space.

Contingent on the corona situation, there is also a weekend Contact Jam planned for December, planned as a closed event for those in the ongoing training groups.  As the situation improves, more open gatherings will be produced.
